Living through love instead of fear
A friend recently gave me Gabrielle Bernstein’s book called “The Universe has Your Back” in which she talks about learning from the teacher of love as opposed to living in fear as so many of us do. I realized recently how much fear I have around my work, mostly fear of failure, not living up to my hopes, pretty standard stuff.
What I’ve learned so far from the book is to practice meditations in which we focus on steering our attention from fear to love, embracing the lessons that are brought to us and “assignments” she calls them as people who come in and sometimes out of our lives for specific reasons.
For now, I noticed that when I can shift my attention away from fear, I can become more present to what’s happening around me and respond more softly.
